The Role
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll work alongside the Civil Manager to help lead the existing team of four engineers. You'll contribute to and help oversee various project designs and models, head to site to conduct site inspections and construction monitoring, and ensure projects are progressing smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Work alongside the Civil Manager to help lead/mentor a team of 4 Engineers.
Produce accurate and detailed engineering calculations, models and designs for a variety of local and regional projects.
Contribute to multi-discipline engineering projects from concept to completion, including land development, infrastructure, 3Waters, and public works.
Contribute to and/or help review engineering drafts, models and designs.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project delivery.
Provide technical expertise and problem-solving on complex engineering challenges.
What We're Looking For : A minimum of 5 years' civil engineering experience across land development and/or infrastructure.
Suitable experience using AutoCAD/Civil3D to contribute to drafts, models and designs of land development/infrastructure projects.
Project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Experience in site inspections/investigations, construction monitoring, and reporting.
Knowledge of local government standards and regulations within New Zealand (NZS3910).
Regional experience within New Zealand (Particularly Gisborne or surrounding regions) will be an added benefit.
