About the Role:A North Shore-based consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join and lead its growing civil team. As part of a close-knit team of three, you will play a pivotal role in the expansion of the civil department, taking charge of diverse and exciting projects including flood modeling, townhouse developments, commercial builds, and three waters.This is an ideal opportunity for a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or someone nearing this status, who is ready to step into a leadership role. You will have autonomy over your work schedule, with flexible hours and the option to work from home. Your role will involve business development, project leadership, and mentoring a junior engineer, giving you significant influence over the direction of the civil team and the consultancy as a whole.Key Responsibilities:Lead the civil team and manage a variety of land development projects.Develop, review, and approve detailed engineering reports and designs.Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.Mentor and oversee junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.About You:Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized NZ institution.7+ years of industry experience.Expertise in Civil 3D.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or working towards it.Proven leadership and project management skills.Demonstrated excellence in delivering technical solutions and engineering designs.Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.Benefits:Competitive salary package ($150k - $170k), plus vehicle, bonus, and profit share.Opportunities for future shareholding within the company.Work on a wide range of land development projects with a robust pipeline of work.Be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.Excellent opportunities for career advancement and professional development.About the Company:This well-established team of geotechnical and civil engineers is known for delivering high-quality, tailored engineering solutions.
