About the role Ideally located in Auckland Central, Fable Auckland Hotel is looking for a result-driven Chef de Partie to join our talented Kitchen team in the award-winning Cooke's Restaurant and Bar.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation requirements
Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
Maintain a clean, safe and tidy work environment at all times
Ensure stock is controlled and rotated
Organise a daily work schedule and ordering requirements
Work unsupervised, being able to manage other chefs and orders
Supervising and training kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef
Skills and Requirements: Minimum 3 years' kitchen experience in a similar role in high-end restaurant or hotel environment
Experienced with busy kitchen service
Food Safety and Cookery qualifications preferred
Hold NZ citizenship, permanent residency or a current valid work visa
Physically fit and able to stand for the duration of a shift (8 hours)
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently with a positive attitude
Handles pressure calmly and professionally
Good communication skills and be able to work in a team
Flexibility to work rostered shifts including weekends, public holidays, early shifts, and night shifts
A high level of personal cleanliness
