Whether you're showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of their life to eat a meal, or talking to a resident's family on the phone, you'll do so with a sense of kindness above anything else.Job responsibilitiesThis role is for DAY shifts only on a full-time basis, 42 hours per week from 8am - 8pm.
Full flexibility is required.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and leading a team of Care Assistants.
You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans.
You will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.One of your key responsibilities as Senior Care Assistant is to maintain accurate records of the job you do and build strong relationships with the rest of your team.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns.
All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas.Person SpecificationQualificationsS/NVQ or Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care desirable but not essential.ExperiencePrevious experience in a care setting is desirable.Additional CriteriaAbility to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
