Our People and Culture team is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven and passionate Senior Business Partner. This is a newly created permanent full-time position based in Invercargill however we are open to discussions around flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
As the Senior Business Partner, you will partner with leaders across a diverse portfolio to provide effective, efficient, and professional HR Advisory services. Your ability to gain a deep understanding of how the group you are supporting operates will be second to none, combined with your ability to develop and implement best practice/fit for purpose HR policies, procedures and initiatives, in order to add value and drive organisational performance.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Applying a business partnering approach developing strong, trust-based relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the People and Culture function supports the organisation and its people effectively.
Provide expert advice and support across a range of areas, including employment relations, performance management, recruitment, team development, and change management.
Offering strategic advice on policies and best practices across areas like employment agreements, employee engagement, and performance management.
Proactively identifying and managing risks, while seeking continuous improvements to people management processes and tools.
Being at the forefront of shaping and delivering high-quality People and Culture initiatives, ensuring that we continue to build a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
Being a key partner in change management initiatives, helping our teams navigate transformation with confidence and success.
Coaching and mentoring the wider People and Culture team.
What you will bring:
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, related discipline, or significant relevant experience
A minimum of 7 years demonstrated experience working as a generalist HR practitioner
Proven knowledge of NZ employment legislation, HR best practice and demonstrated experience managing employment relations processes from start to finish
Demonstrated experience in change management processes
Experience in leading policy development
Ability to coach, and mentor people leaders and other team members to drive performance across an organisation and enhance overall culture in HR practice
