Senior Business Analyst, Income Portfolio, Wellington

We're seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Income portfolio within Service Delivery. We are continuously improving our income support systems, to make it easier to understand and navigate – to provide fair, consistent, accurate and timely support to New Zealanders.
Within the Income portfolio, there is a mix of exciting work programmes, including cross-agency initiatives that greatly enhance the access to services, income, and the wellbeing of New Zealanders.
You'll be part of a cross-functional multi-disciplinary team, and you'll need to be highly collaborative with others from across the business. You'll get involved with different business groups, working to understand and identify their needs and lead solution-focused options. We have a complex work programme, so you'll need to be able to provide high-quality advice on business issues in a range of areas.
You will be working as part of an Agile product delivery team. We are looking for a clear thinker with a natural attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Help shape and scope work that is required to move the project forward.
Engage with stakeholders, programme team members and vendors to fully understand, communicate, develop, and deliver on agreed requirements and solutions.
Analyse and understand business needs and translate them into fit for purpose user stories/requirements with clear acceptance criteria.
Plan and facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders.
Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to ensure user stories/requirements are understood and solution outcomes are achieved.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data and information into actionable insights.
Provide reporting and feedback from and to stakeholders, users, and team members.
Experience you will bring:
Experience working in a large Programme of work as a Senior Business Analyst.
Experience working to very tight deadlines and works well under pressure.
Experience building or contributing to a dynamic and positive team culture.
Experience utilising a broad range of business analysis tools and techniques in complex situations.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
