Mo te tima / About our team   The Disability Support Services Group (DSS) is being established to ensure fairer access to disability support services in New Zealand, ensuring those with the greatest needs receive quality support services.
The DSS Review Taskforce has been established to implement the recommendations of the Independent Review in DSS to:     provide disabled people with certain and consistent access to DSS, no matter what their circumstances or where they live in New Zealand prioritise funding for disabled people with the highest needs, and those who would benefit most from early intervention support, ensure that Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles are put into practice ensure that the long-term sustainability of DSS is strengthened to provide disabled people and carers with services that are both fair and affordable.
Te ahua o te turanga / About the role:   As the Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in determining the scope of work and planning effective delivery strategies within the Disability Support Services Taskforce.
You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication, aligned expectations, and a coordinated approach to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities: •    Lead the analysis, planning, and delivery of diverse work programmes.
•    Track the progress of work items, ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.
•    Provide specialist input and contribute to project status reports, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
•    Offer high-quality advice on complex issues with minimal guidance.
•    Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior management and Ministers.
•    Identify and document business goals and needs accurately.
•    Gather and analyse business processes to inform system requirements.

N ou te rourou | What you bring:   A proven track record as a Senior Business Analyst, particularly within large transformation programmes in government settings.
A deep understanding and experience working in the Disability Sector and the unique requirements it brings.
The ability to effectively scope and allocate tasks to Business Analysts to ensure efficient workflow and project delivery.
Strong critical thinking and analysis skills in the development of effective business solutions.
Demonstrated success in building and maintaining positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook and specialist project management tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence or SharePoint.
