To support making this vision a reality, we are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our newly formed Transformation team on a fixed term basis.
About the role | Ko tenei turanga mahi As Senior Business Analyst, you will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather and analyse data, document business requirements, and contribute to the successful delivery of transformative initiatives.
You will play a key role in ensuring that projects are aligned with our strategic objectives and that they deliver value to the community.
Key responsibilities are to: Provide strategic and enterprise level business analysis input to ensure workstream initiatives remain focused and on track to deliver the organisation's vision and expected benefits Gather, document, and analyse business requirements Manage and facilitate interviews, focus groups, working parties and other meetings with stakeholders Collect, interpret, and analyse data to provide insights and support decision-making processes Identify and report issues or risks that may impact the timely delivery and/or quality of solutions and benefits Identifying opportunities to increase project and programme efficiencies About you | Ko nga pumanawa o The ideal candidate will have: A relevant tertiary qualification with significant business analysis or business process management component Intermediate to advanced experience in business analysis, preferably within the public sector or transformation projects Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for engaging stakeholders Experience of Agile techniques for business analysis What we offer | Ko nga painga mou At Nelson City Council, you will work within a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation.
