The role:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a minimum of five years' experience in the healthcare sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced analyst to work with data, analytics, and reporting frameworks. Based in East Tamaki, East Auckland , you will be part of a dedicated team of analysts in this permanent, full-time role of 40 hours per week .
You will be exemplary in understanding needs, sourcing relevant data from multiple platforms, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, and connecting with data service providers and health sector data colleagues locally, regionally, and nationally. This is a unique opportunity to contribute and help shape meaningful outcomes in an evolving primary healthcare environment.
You excel in translating sector, contractual, and organisational reporting needs into data-fueled evidence of service delivery and performance outcomes, along with identifying gaps and opportunities that have the potential to improve health outcomes further. These strengths will be complemented by your skills and patience to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Experience and responsibilities:
Minimum of five years' experience in the healthcare industry in a business analyst role.
Proven experience in navigating a range of systems, databases, and IT applications in the healthcare sector to provide quality data.
Proven experience in analysing data and delivering timely business reporting and performance analysis that meets the needs of stakeholders.
Data warehouse and Qlik support.
Liaise and collaborate with technical providers and vendors regarding IT support, special projects, cyber security, and privacy.
Maintain relationships with key sector representative bodies such as GPNZ, Health NZ / Te Whatu Ora, Northern Region, and other PHOs.
An analytical mind, initiative, and the ability to think creatively and laterally.
Leadership skills to provide guidance and support.
Timely delivery of accurate information.
Creates business opportunities with a strategic perspective.
Passionate about standards, quality, and data integrity.
Understanding of the New Zealand health system.
Strong enterprise data warehouse skills.
Advanced SQL and Snowflake.
Qlik Sense or other BI reporting software.
Advanced Excel and proficient in other MS Office products.
Excellent analytical and sound numeracy skills.
A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
