The role: This role is a permanent position based in Christchurch, Wellington or Auckland. As a Senior Business Analyst - Data Management, your focus will be on mapping and improving the lifecycle management of data as an asset at Stats NZ. This will require leading and participating in work such as data maturity assessments, Data & Information Asset Register development, stakeholder engagement at all levels across the business and initiatives that help to lift the data management capability across the organisation. Initially, a key focus area will be on our data acquisition processes which will involve working closely with Senior Advisors and Data Brokers along with the Census programme.
What you bring:
10 years' experience using business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies - minimum five years at intermediate business analyst level.
Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline such as data or information management.
A future focussed, problem-solving and continuous development perspective with a passion for streamlining processes and creating efficiencies.
An ability to break down large and complex information into bite size chunks and convey the concepts clearly and simply.
Experience Leading Projects with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Great communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to bridge technical and non-technical discussions, translate business needs or requirements, and produce high quality documentation.
Any information about your knowledge and experience, or desire to learn and build knowledge and experience of Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Maori, and engagement with Maori.
