Senior Business Analyst (Customer Financials Focus)AucklandNZD 100,000 - 125,000About the RoleAs a Domain Principal at Inland Revenue Te Tari Taake, you will provide advice, guidance, and analysis to support quality decision-making in the Customer Financial Domain.
You will take a lead role in delivering the domain's 'Run' activities, support the development and delivery of the team's work programme alongside the Domain lead, and represent the team and the wider Planning, Design and Delivery segment across the organisation, including at relevant governance forums.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate IR's values through your behaviours and decisions to positively contribute to the economic and social wellbeing of New Zealand.Build and maintain an understanding of IR and our customers to deliver services that meet current and future needs delivered by the Customer Financials domain.Provide specialist support, advice, and services relating to specialized domain issues across the organisation to inform quality decision-making.Ensure consistent application of design solutions to Enterprise, Local, and Break Fix initiatives.Identify emerging trends and provide thought leadership that supports prioritization for operational delivery, projects, or initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve our service offering delivered by the Domain that supports IR to deliver its strategic objectives by taking a system-wide view and collaborating across IR.To be Successful in This Position, You Will Ideally Possess the Following Capabilities:Self-starter, self-driven, and proactive in your approach to work.Strategic planning and thinking, ability to think about strategic outcomes when it comes to planning and delivery, while considering broader operational planning.Trend and theme analysis, ability to digest data and information to produce reports providing insight on broader themes and trends, including the ability to identify strategic risks that will affect the domain or IR reputation.Design, definition, and documentation; you will attend design and definition sessions and be responsible for documenting decisions and reporting outcomes to relevant governance forums.Make complex technical decisions that have strategic significance to support the right outcomes for customers, IR, and the Government.Advanced stakeholder management experience; you will have the ability to establish, develop, and maintain relationships, working collaboratively across IR to deliver outcomes, including dealing with executive governance.Please apply online with your CV and cover letter, outlining how you meet the capability areas above.
