Senior Bookkeeper

We are looking for a full-time permanent Senior Bookkeeper to look after all our accounting transactions for the business chain in Auckland. We provide dry-cleaning and laundry services in 7 locations within Auckland Region.

The ideal candidate must have at least three years of relevant experience in New Zealand with a relevant bachelor degree.

Suitable candidates will be paid $32 to $35 per hour and are required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. You will also be required to work overtime from time to time, but not more than 45 hours per week.

The role includes but is not limited to:

Overseeing cash flow and credit lines, managing financial records, and maintaining and reconciling accounts through both manual and computerized systems.

Compiling and generating financial statements, budget reports, and expenditure analyses utilizing account books, ledgers, and accounting software.

Creating invoices, processing purchase orders, and making bank deposits.

Balancing accounts with monthly bank statements.

Reviewing recorded transactions and informing management of any discrepancies.

May need to prepare forms detailing business tax responsibilities, including the goods and services tax paid and collected.

Liaison with external Chartered Accountant to prepare the company's financial statements for each business's financial year.
