As a global leader in the design and engineering sector, we're proud of the exceptional work we do, and we're looking for a Senior BIM Specialist to join our Auckland office and contribute to a diverse range of exciting, large-scale projects.In this role, you will be an integral part of our modelling team, responsible for managing and supervising the modelling structure workflows and standards specific to AECOM. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in BIM software, with a preference for Dynamo scripting and Python coding, and will be proactive in identifying requirements, taking initiative, and leading by example. You'll work collaboratively across various projects, ensuring that all models are accurately developed, coordinated, and delivered according to AECOM's standards, while also playing a leadership role in driving continuous improvement and innovation within our BIM practices.What will a day in this role look like:Lead and supervise BIM modelling workflows, ensuring they are in line with AECOM's internal standards and best practices.Collaborate with project teams to deliver accurate and coordinated 3D models across a range of large-scale building and infrastructure projects.Develop and implement automated BIM processes using Python coding to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency across the modelling team.Manage, maintain, and optimize the use of Autodesk Revit, Rhino, Dynamo, AutoCAD, and other relevant software to ensure smooth project delivery.Oversee the development of model-based data and ensure that project information is aligned with project objectives and standards.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, guiding them in BIM techniques, workflows, and software usage.Work closely with internal teams and clients to define BIM deliverables, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.Maintain an unwavering attention to detail, ensuring high-quality models that meet the project's functional and aesthetic requirements.Drive innovation within the team by identifying trends and implementing new tools and practices that enhance BIM processes.Take a proactive approach in managing and identifying project needs, anticipating challenges, and driving solutions.QualificationsThe following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role.
