We are seeking a Senior Bid Writer to join our high-performing team, based at our head office in Auckland, or one of our principal regional offices, reporting to the National Submissions Manager. With a significant pipeline of large-scale construction projects in 2025, this position offers significant exposure to varied and challenging projects, with opportunities to lead and influence outcomes at the highest level.The RoleIn this pivotal role, you will:Develop and lead bid strategies, plans, and programmes for a diverse portfolio of opportunities ranging from $5M+ to $100M+.Collaborate with a wide array of business units, subject matter experts, and senior professionals to craft compelling, tailored, and winning submission content.Take ownership of compliant, structured, and impactful proposals that align with client and project requirements.Contribute to the ongoing refinement and innovation of our systems and processes, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence.Serve as a key contributor to the company's strategic growth, driving competitive advantages through high-quality submissions.About you:To excel in this role, you will bring:Previous experience in bid writing, ideally in the construction, civil engineering, or related industries.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.Strong multi-tasking abilities, coupled with excellent organisational and time management skills to meet tight and consistent deadlines.Ability to influence and lead from the front, and manage submission teams to ensure timely delivery of deadlines.A positive, proactive, and can-do attitude, with a strong sense of initiative and personal drive.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and systems.A collaborative approach, fostering strong relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.What We OfferJoining HEB Construction means becoming part of a dynamic and supportive team where your expertise will be valued and your career can flourish.
