Prego is Classic Italian cuisine with a kiwi twist.
Service is typically fast moving and busy.Role:Senior Bartender and Wine Service Professional.
1 x position available immediately.
Full time, permanent position.Hours:35-40 per week, over 5 days, with two consecutive days off.
You will be required to work weekends and a mixture of both day and night shifts.Experience and Personal Skills:A minimum of 2 years experience in a restaurant bar.Cocktail, Beverage and Coffee making skills.An extensive knowledge of NZ and European wines including food matching, wine service and sales.Excellent customer service and communication skills, a positive attitude and a passion for the hospitality industry.Speed of movement is essential and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Job Description:Bartenders are required to know all cocktails on our list plus unlisted classics, with strict adherence to Prego brand.
This includes full preparation of ingredients and product.Bar set up and closedown, restock, keg changing, clean down and barback duties, storeroom maintenance, stock rotation.Coffee making.Food and drink service at bar and outside Laneway.
You and the bar team are responsible for all guests dining or drinking in these areas.
You may be required to wait a section in the restaurant if required.Brand ambassador, competent in looking after a maximum of ten tables, customer connection and service.Assist guests with wine selection by offering your knowledge and guidance.Hourly Rate: $27-$30 per hour.Qualifications:Wine training certificates or references relating to local and European wine.
