We are looking for enthusiastic experienced Senior Bakers to join our Pastry/Bread team. Multiple positions available.
The primary role is the day-to-day running of the bakery department, ensuring that a maximum of high-quality freshly baked breads and cakes are available.
Minimum of 3 years of baking experience in a retail bakery, OR relevant trade qualification.
This is a permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 45 hours per week (extra hours may be required based on production).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing frozen products for baking.
Mixing and baking required daily levels of all bakery products.
Baking required daily levels of cakes and other products.
Preparing and making sandwiches.
Assembling sandwiches using breads, meats, cheeses, vegetables, and other products according to customer orders.
Responsible for the operation of the pastry/bakery section of the kitchen, including desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
Producing other bakery-specific products as required.
Other tasks across the store as required.
Ensure that recipes and proportions are strictly adhered to, to ensure consistency, quality, and cost control.
Order and maintain inventory for the pastry/bakery section to ensure efficient operations.
Any other duties the Executive Baker/Head Chef or Baker may reasonably require.
Station maintenance and cleanliness.
Follow health and hygiene standards.
