The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering principles, a passion for technology, and a commitment to continuous learning.As an Automation Engineer at Icon Automation, you will be responsible for designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated machinery and processes. You will collaborate with other industry professionals to understand client needs and deliver customised solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement automation systems from concept to commissioning.Troubleshoot and maintain existing automation systems to ensure optimal performance.Collaborate with clients to refine system designs based on feedback and performance data.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the company.Qualifications and Expectations:Applicable Degree or Tertiary Qualification.At least 5 years' experience in the industrial automation sector, both service and project environments.Extensive experience with PLC, HMI/SCADA.Experience with Rockwell, Schneider, Wonderware, Intellution is preferred.Other platforms and skillsets will be looked upon favourably (Ignition, Siemens, Machine Safety etc.)Excellent organisation, communication skills and works well in a team environment.The ability to work to a consistently high standard with time management awareness.Honest, punctual and reliable.If you're looking for a new opportunity with a supportive and innovative team, this role at Icon Automation could be the perfect fit.
