Join our dynamic team as a Senior Auditor at Grant Thornton New Zealand, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality audit services to a variety of clients. In this position, you'll work closely with our experienced Partners and Managers, allowing you to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
About the Role:
As a Senior Auditor, you will lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of clients' business operations, evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, and guide junior team members.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing audit engagements, ensuring high quality and efficiency.Preparing and reviewing financial statements with accuracy.Identifying risks and assisting with appropriate audit approaches.Staying updated with the latest industry regulations and standards.Collaborating with clients to address financial challenges and achieve their objectives.You will benefit from a supportive culture that values professional development, allowing you to excel in your career.
About you: A minimum of 3 years of experience in external auditing.Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards.Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Professional certification (i.e., CA, CPA) is preferred.Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously.A positive, engaging attitude towards work.At Grant Thornton, we foster a culture of collaboration, and we are committed to supporting your professional growth while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.
