Senior Asset Planning Engineer

Following an internal promotion, we are looking for a new Senior Asset Planning Engineer to join our Water Services team based in Te Awamutu .

This role will lead, develop and implement strategies for effective asset and data management of the Council's water, wastewater, and stormwater assets.

So, what does this mean? Well, as a qualified Engineer with knowledge and experience of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, one of your key areas of focus in this role will be to:

Plan and implement asset management strategies.

Develop implementation plans to support a robust asset assessment, renewal, and maintenance profile for the 'Three Waters'.

Work closely with your team of skilled professionals to look for new and innovative ways to improve our services.

Ensure data integrity and planning for present and future long-term plans with a view to future water reform.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Previous experience in successfully leading teams.

A motivation towards asset engineering and planning.

A willingness to share your experience whilst upskilling your peers.

With excellent communication skills, you will ensure you have all internal and external stakeholders fully on board.
