The Role: We're seeking a motivated Team Leader to assist our General Manager in leading our architectural team. You'll ensure the team delivers high-quality designs, meets deadlines, and maintains operational efficiency from concept through to building consent, adhering to all regulations.
This role is based in Timaru, South Canterbury.
Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Mentor technicians and support design development.Project Management: Oversee budgets, track progress, implement consistent processes, and forecast workloads.Design: Create, review, and innovate designs; manage consent lodgement; produce renders and layouts.Client Management: Build client relationships, coordinate with consultants, and ensure a collaborative process.Compliance: Review designs for regulatory compliance and manage consent submissions. What You Need: Degree or Diploma in Architectural Studies/Technology, or relevant experience.Experience in project and client management.Strong leadership, organizational, and multi-project management skills.Expertise in NZS3604:2011, NZ Building Codes, and commercial design.Proficiency in ArchiCAD, CAD, BIM, and rendering tools; Masterspec and Lumion knowledge is a plus.Strong client communication and a collaborative design approach.
