ADQ Architecture is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architectural Designer/Technician to join our team in our Christchurch office (in New Brighton). This is a full-time permanent position, where you will be responsible for providing high-quality architectural design and technical details across a range of exciting projects.
We are looking for a multi-talented person with a great design eye and the technical ability to back it up. Bonus if you have a passion for interiors!
What you'll be doing Producing detailed design drawings, specifications and documentation using CAD software
Collaborating with the team to develop innovative and functional architectural solutions
Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Providing technical advice and support throughout all stages of the design and construction process
Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and standards
Contributing to the continuous improvement of our design processes and practices
What we're looking for Degree or masters in Architecture
Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a similar architectural design role
Proficient in the use of CAD software, such as ARCHICAD and Revit
Strong technical knowledge of building construction, materials and detailing
Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for creating innovative and sustainable architectural solutions
