Viso Architecture, a leading architecture firm in Christchurch, is seeking a talented Senior Architectural Designer or Architectural Technician to join their dynamic team. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of innovative architectural projects that shape our garden city.
What you'll be doing
Collaborate with the design team to conceptualise and develop architectural designs that meet client requirements and exceed expectations
Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using industry-leading software
Assist with the preparation of planning applications and building consent documentation
Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects
Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and practices within the firm
Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Architecture or a related design discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience as an Architectural Designer or Architectural Technician; suitably qualified candidates will be considered
Proficiency in using ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other industry-standard design software
Strong technical skills in producing detailed architectural drawings and documentation
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clients and the broader project team
