We focus on the issues that have the most significant economic, fiscal, or wider implications, and on shaping the overall strategic direction for tax policy.We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst in our Tax Strategy team.
Your role will include advising the Ministers of Finance and Revenue on the design of potential tax policy changes, while working closely with officials across the Treasury and at Inland Revenue.
The work programme is flexible and your responsibilities will be tailored to your skills, interests and business needs at the time.
We expect that it would cover a mix of:Supporting the tax policy work programme for Budget 2025 and future Budgets,Engaging with a range of stakeholders in the public, private and NGO sectors, andResearch and analysis to deepen Treasury's thinking on a range of significant tax policy issues, so that we can advise Ministers on the big issues of the day.Appointing salary for this role will be between $126,612 and $148,955 per annum, based on skills and experience.This important work takes a special kind of person with a passion for making a difference and getting things done.
