Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The National Ticketing Solution (NTS) is a collaboration between Waka Kotahi and our Public Transport Authority (PTA) partners. It is a multi-phase project to provide New Zealanders with a single, collaborative public transport payment solution across Aotearoa New Zealand. The Senior Advisor, Reporting and Insights will:
Establish a sustainable reporting capability that links toolsets, skills and process across the programme to provide actionable intelligence for governance.
Establish a catalogue of reporting elements and support for deep dive and other event-specific analyses at project and programme level.
Establish a set of base rate performance measures for the portfolio.
Link the tools and processes to support self-service on-demand reporting for standard project, programme and portfolio results.
Coach and guide the development of reporting and analysis capabilities across the portfolios to provide consistent reporting of known quality.
About you | Ko koe tenei The ideal candidate for this role will bring:
In-depth knowledge of BI and other analytical tools and data sets for the generation of reports.
Experience in reporting to senior and executive level managers, including the provision of trend and insight information that supports informed decision making.
An understanding of project/programme/portfolio management through its practical application in one or more organisations.
A desire to share what you have with others, while maintaining your own expertise.
Curiosity about how things work and will look for opportunities to make things work better and more efficiently for those who use our services.
Collaboration and joined-up thinking: we need to strengthen all parts of our P3M system, including working with and on behalf of colleagues in other parts of NZTA Waka Kotahi.
An ability to see stakeholders' points of view and express decisions and other information in their language.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
