Senior Analyst - Multiple Vacancies at Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Wellington Exciting, career defining policy roles within our Financial Stability Group. Our Financial Stability Group (FSG) develops and implements prudential policy to protect and promote the stability of New Zealand's financial system. This helps maintain public trust and confidence in our banks, insurers, non-bank deposit takers and financial markets infrastructures. It also reduces the risk of a financial crisis that could seriously damage the economy, and the prosperity and wellbeing of New Zealanders.

We are looking for multiple Senior Analysts to join the Prudential Policy Department in the FSG.
Te turanga - The roles
In each of these roles you will be working as part of a team of experienced and highly regarded colleagues. These roles will be involved in all aspects of policy development from problem identification and the analysis of different policy options through to the drafting of consultation documents and industry engagement.

You are expected to play a key role in contributing to the development of clear and effective policy and guidance for banks, insurers, non-bank deposit takers and financial market infrastructures.

These are unique opportunities where you will work in areas that will have a direct impact internally and externally.

O pukenga - About you
To be successful in any one of these roles, you will bring -
At least four years of professional experience in public policy, regulation, law, relevant financial services, or a related area.Good academic qualifications in economics, accounting, finance, law, or a related discipline.The ability to undertake analysis to support decision-making in novel, ambiguous and complex areas, sometimes without existing frameworks.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, tailored for different audiences.The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and be a team player with a positive, enthusiastic "can-do" attitude.Familiarity with economic concepts such as market failure, regulatory failure, opportunity cost and cost-benefit analysis.Please review the job description to find out more about these opportunities here at Te Putea Matua.
