We're looking for an enthusiastic and talented professional to work on easement applications under the Crown Forests Assets Act.
Working closely with a range of government agencies, including the Department of Conservation, you'll provide advice to the Minister of Finance and other ministers to assist them to carry out their statutory functions relating to the cancellation or variation of public access easements in forests that have been returned to iwi as part of Treaty settlements. That work will include reviewing submissions and carrying out research.
In addition to the work on the Crown Forest Assets Act, you will also work on projects across the wider Growth and Public Services directorate.
This is a fixed term position until the end of June 2025. We intend to interview shortlisted candidates on Friday 8 November.
The appointing remuneration range for this role is between $126,612 and $148,955.

You will have a strong policy, or policy adjacent, background in the public sector and excellent relationship management skills.
