Full job descriptionTe turanga - The roleThe Financial Stability group is responsible for ensuring that financial institutions are licensed, effectively regulated and supervised, and where applicable, enforcement action is taken. The Supervisory Frameworks and Systems team enables modern, risk-based, high quality, insight driven prudential supervision to protect and promote the stability of New Zealand's financial system. We are looking to fill two roles. The first role is developing and maintaining frameworks and processes that enable front-line supervisors of banks, other deposit takers and insurers. The second role entails implementing a quality assurance programme of front-line supervision activity and preparing insightful reporting for key stakeholders.In this role you will: Identify and analyse data, business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Develop and document business requirements for projects and operational process improvement activities. Collect and review information to identify trends and ensure that the output of processes are achieving the desired results. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.O pukenga - About youYou're enthusiastic and passionate about contributing to New Zealand's economic wellbeing. You have a keen eye for detail and enjoy collating various information sources to provide clear analysis to allow informed decision making. You will also bring to this role: Understanding of legal or economic environments within financial institutions is ideal. Strong analytical, diagnostic and conceptual skills and creative thinking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent relationship management skills. Track record of being open and responsive to concerns and ideas of stakeholders. Proven ability to be flexible, focused on outcomes, and on what works in practice.
