We are seeking a Senior Advisor to join our Nga Ringa Rautaki I Strategic Partnerships and Programmes Team.
With a focus on robust policy advice and Te Ao Maori critical analysis skills, this role is positioned within a team that takes pride in their work and values contributing to community, hapu, and Iwi aspirations.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Capability and confidence within te reo Maori me ona tikanga Strong understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and Maori-Crown relationships Experience in Te Tiriti o Waitangi based practice A strong background in policy development and Te Ao Maori critical analysis Excellent oral and written communication, with proven experience writing for senior stakeholders Ability to work with and develop services that support Maori, Pacific peoples, and other ethnic communities Strong relationship development skills Experience in delivering programme/business improvement initiatives You should also have: Experience in working with hapu, iwi, hapori Maori, and communities The ability to plan, organise, and manage work effectively to meet multiple deadlines The ability to rapidly adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment Experience in provision of advice to Ministers DIA offers opportunities to grow.
