We also retail electricity to more than 365,000 homes, businesses and farms across New Zealand through our Meridian and Powershop brands.Job Description What you'll be doingReporting to the Stakeholder Communications Manager, this role forms part of a high-performing Communications team that delivers quality, proactive and trusted corporate communications to the company. Specifically, this 12-month fixed term role will contribute to the success of Meridian's Communications Strategy by supporting the development and delivery of communications and engagement plans to support our pipeline of development and construction projects.We're looking for someone with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement – ideally in a development and/or construction context – to lead the team's work on two or three key projects over the next 12 months.You'll be across all content and communications, not only developing but also delivering communications and engagement plans, ensuring systems are in place to monitor, update and report on progress. You'll also be responsible to oversee that the projects have support to deliver these plans, including video product, photography and community event support.This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that has recently set a new strategy focused on greater proactivity and communications leadership and has the support of the business to make this happen. And a great time to help Aotearoa reach a zero-carbon future through renewable energy!What you'll bringPrevious experience working within community and stakeholder engagement.Experience in developing and implementing communications and engagement plans.Ideally you will have similar experience working with development and construction projects and understand what is involved.Experience working with senior stakeholders in a corporate environment.Why Meridian?At Meridian, we value all people.
