Reporting to the Team Lead – Health & Safety Improvement, your role as Senior Advisor will be to champion, monitor and influence safety and risk outcomes across multiple campuses in Aotearoa, through a kaupapa Maori lens.
We've recently reviewed our approach to health, safety and wellness in the workplace, so your focus will be on engaging and supporting our line managers, providing them and their teams with the training and tools to enhance risk and hazard management and emergency preparedness.
This involves reviewing, developing and implementing policies, procedures and initiatives that deliver great results and working with key stakeholders to foster a proactive, safety-conscious culture.
Mou | About you
In-depth experience in health and safety or risk management and a solid understanding of NZ H&S legislation.
A communication and relationship building style that has allowed you to influence and inspire others.
Sound analytical and decision-making skills.
Full NZ driver's licence.
A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
A willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga).
