We ensure that obligations are met through our confident application of the legislative frameworks we operate under.We do all of this effectively, efficiently, fairly and transparently, in order to be a trusted independent regulator.About the role | Mo te tungaWe are looking for a Senior Advisor, Fast-track consenting for a fixed term period to June 2025. In this role, you will project lead multi-disciplinary teams for applications under the Fast Track Applications Bill as well as have opportunities to get involved with applications under the Natural and Built Environment Act (NBEA), Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf (Environmental Effects) Act 2012 (EEZ Act) and Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA).This will include ensuring the successful planning and delivery of application decisions from pre-lodgement to completion, within statutory timeframes and budget, including day to day coaching and oversight of Land and Ocean Applications team Advisors.In this role, you will also provide or facilitate the provision of objective specialist consenting process expertise and advice to Ministers, decision-making bodies, the Environment Court, Councils and others for applications under the relevant legislation.About you | Mohou akeWe are looking for someone with a range of skills and experience – if you have some or all of the below, we would love to hear from you.A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant area of expertise, (e.g. environmental management/analysis, science, public policy, economics, or law).
