The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Maori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Maori.We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.The Senior Advisor, Regional Planning will contribute to the development of these fully costed regional plans and will work closely with other Te Whatu ora and te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to develop the plan. The Senior Advisor, Regional Planning will also have supported the monitoring the performance of Te Whatu Ora against the actions in the plan.This role is based in the Central Region, which is made up of Mid-Central, Whanganui, Capital & Coast Hutt Valley (Wellington Region), Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa. You will need to be based in the region. Your location can be discussed at interview stage.Demonstrated experience in local, regional and/or national planning processes.Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Maori and Pacific Peoples and groups and at a senior level.Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and anticipate the impact of decisions on long-term outcomes, including financial outcomes, and to develop/recommend responses in consultation with key stakeholders.The ability to communicate complex information and ideas in both oral and written communication to a range of audiences including senior management, Board and Ministers.Experience navigating and operating within the machinery of government or in a regulated environment.Experience and strong analytical skills allowing for them to carry out effective needs analysis of the population across the region they work in.Nau mai, uru mai | Come and join us When you join us, you become part of transforming the health system.
