We want working for us… to work for you!!Other benefits include:Balance life and work commitmentsDevelop and grow your career (coaching, training, study support, secondments)3 extra annual leave days (taken during Christmas office closure)The role | Te tungaAs Senior Advisor - Pacific, you will provide support and high-quality specialised advice to shape and implement data strategies that benefit Pacific communities.Your primary focus will be to collaborate across government to address Pacific data needs, ensuring a shared understanding and facilitating the development, collection, dissemination, and use of data to meet those needs.You will collaborate closely with teams in the Statistical Delivery Branches, as well as with our Principal and Senior Engagement Advisors and other key stakeholders across the organisation, to provide timely strategic and operational advice aimed at enhancing the value and utilisation of data relating to Pacific communities.Our ideal candidate will bring the following:A sound understanding of Pacific knowledge and capability across the many Pacific groups.Be proficient in at least one Pacific language.Experience in establishing, supporting and maintaining relationships with Pacific communities that informs your appreciation of the challenges they are facing, as well as their aspirations, and how this relates to the collection and use of data.Experienced in developing and executing Pacific-focused strategies that align with organisational goals.Skilled in leading implementation, adapting to changes, and fostering community and stakeholder engagement.Possess the mana to engage with others, and influence and lead them to achieve enhanced Pacific community responsiveness and Pacific-focused outcomes.Knowledge and experience in supporting the development and deployment of programmes, frameworks and/or models that enhance responsiveness to Pacific community.Understands the relevance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi to your role as a public servant and seeks opportunities to better meet the information needs of Maori and Pacific. Supports initiatives to increase responsiveness to Maori and Pacific.We understand transferable skills can come from experience gained from outside of work.
