The role will work closely with the other members of the Business Services team and SMEs in the business unit to draft key ministerial products for the office ensuring attention to detail and timeliness are prioritised.This role will work closely with the wider team and the Senior Leadership Team. It is responsible for supporting delivery of routine and ad hoc work for the overall group by:Providing advice across the P&C Leadership function.Maintaining a focus on supporting health system delivery, including through developing robust advice and options that support the development of clinical leadership, governance and quality across the clinical workforce of approx. 86,000 people.Developing advice, briefings and papers for Ministers, Commissioners and/or Executive Leadership Team as necessary.Leading the preparation of high-quality, timely and accurate responses to written and oral parliamentary questions and Official Information Act requests, PQs, select committee, Ministerial and other requests to ensure quality, timely and accurate responses.Working alongside leadership to deliver the organisational priorities of Health NZ and to drive continuous improvement in processes and practices within the team. Provide direction into the development and delivery of the P&C leadership work programme to realise the planned outcomes of the health reforms.Skills and ExperienceExperience working in government services and developing products for Ministers' offices.A strong working knowledge of policy and ability to interpret and understand legislation and the machinery of government.You Will BringCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
