The Regulatory Operations Planning and Performance team plays a critical role in ensuring that the Regulatory Operations Group is supported in the management of its business operations and business resilience.
The Team supports the Regulatory Operations Group as a whole, and links closely with relevant teams across Maritime NZ to ensure that Regulatory Operations work is aligned with our organisation's regulatory approach.
Te tunga | The role As the Senior Advisor Operational Planning and Performance, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Regulatory Operations Group with planning, monitoring and reporting of front-line regulatory activities to enable effective leadership oversight and accountability.
You will support:
the Manager and Principal Advisor to develop and embed the reporting framework by collaborating with the Regulatory Operations Group Leadership team and teams across Maritime NZ, to ensure high quality reportingthe alignment across Maritime NZ of planning and performance reporting, by working closely with various teams/groups across Maritime NZ to develop and maintain cross team/group planning and reporting materials (e.g. business plans, operational reports)the provision of quality insights, support, leadership and advice on matters relating to the planning and performance of ROGthe Principal Advisor, Risk, Quality Assurance, and Improvements with business resilience activitiesthe implementation of Maritime NZ's organisational strategy (Te Korowai), including sharing skills and knowledge for cross-organisational work.Minimum Requirements: Experience and knowledge of performance, planning and reporting in a regulatory contextExcellent analytical skills and ability to problem-solve in complex environments, with experience of using these to create insights that drive process improvementExperience adapting working and communication style appropriately for different audiences and channels; effective written and oral communication skillsAbility to provide support and subject matter leadership to peers and staffExperience contributing to projects and programmes of work involving multiple objectives and diverse stakeholders in a fast changing environment.Aptitude for fostering positive working relationships with people across all levels of an organisation; collaborative working style with a strong user focusSuccessful track record as someone who is willing to involve others to look at problems from different perspectives and develop fresh solutionsMaritime NZ recognises and respects Te Tiriti o Waitangi and we are committed to working with Maori to build strong, meaningful and enduring relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Salary range $111,162 - $135,864 depending on skills and experience + superannuation.
