At Manatu Hauora Ministry of Health, we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters. The Monitoring and Assurance team is responsible for Crown entity and system monitoring and supporting the stewardship role of the Public Health Agency (PHA).
The Monitoring and Assurance team works across the PHA and the wider health system to monitor, support, and improve performance in public health.
As the Senior Advisor, Monitoring and Assurance, you will provide strategic performance advice to support the PHA's critical monitoring and assurance function. This includes building and maintaining effective relationships across alcohol harm reduction functions within health entities, as guided by the Public Health Monitoring and Assurance Framework.
You will support the monitoring of Crown entity and wider system performance and ensure that public health objectives are trending in the right direction.
The Senior Advisor may work across a specific public health area or more widely across the PHA, flexibly responding to business needs.
