Our Medical Devices Programme Delivery Team is growing, so we are seeking experienced, passionate people who will help take our team to the next level.
In this rewarding and challenging role, you will support the Programme Manager, Medical Devices and provide strategic and operational advice as Pharmac grows its role in hospital medical devices. In this role you will work collaboratively with other Pharmac kaimahi and leaders in the health sector to plan an implement a range of activities to progress Pharmac's medical devices strategic priority.
The role sits within our Medical Devices Programme Delivery team, which is responsible for delivering fairer access to medical devices for all New Zealanders by applying the Pharmac Management Model to hospital medical devices.
The work that Pharmac is doing will mean that the hospital medical devices Te Whatu Ora hospitals purchase are available in a nationally consistent and equitable way - improving health outcomes for New Zealanders.
Our programme will help to manage New Zealand's increasing spending on hospital medical devices. By doing so, it will free up funding in hospitals for reinvestment in services and new technologies.
We are taking a long-term view and aligning how we manage hospital medical devices with the wider goals of the health and disability system.
The salary range for this position is $101,807 - $152,711 total remuneration. The appointment range is between$116,215 - $136,723 total remuneration,inclusive of our 3% KiwiSaver Employer contribution
Your ability to think critical at the strategic and operational level, combined with being able to translate this into action, will be essential for success in this role.

Do people know they can trust your advice, because you've done the work behind the scenes and your work is backed up by facts and knowledge? Do people love working with you because they feel heard, and can see their ideas reflected in your work? Do you ask questions to understand because you know others have the subject matter expertise? If you have the following skills, this role may be right for you:
Experience in developing strategic and operational advice; work with multiple complex ideas in parallel and deal comfortably with ambiguity Ability to write in clear, plain language - you can distil information into easily understandable, concise papers for a wide range of audiences ability to establish and maintain strong effective working relationships and a proven ability to develop trust with a diverse range of people Experience in a health sector context and issues in the pharmaceutical and or/medical industries would also be advantageous. You have an understanding of te ao Maori and te Tiriti o Waitangi or display a willingness and commitment to learn. The role has a level of autonomy, and applicants will need to be self-driven to manage time-pressured work but also need to work as part of a team. You will be part of the Medical Devices Programme Delivery team and supported to learn and succeed in our fast paced and dynamic workplace.
