Senior Advisor – International Development MetService keeps people informed, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with a global reputation for connecting our science and technology to help Aotearoa New Zealand navigate the impacts of increasingly severe weather. Our changing climate is increasing impacts from weather, and this changes the way communities need to receive their weather information. MetService has a vital role in engaging with people and businesses, at home and overseas, and this role will continue to evolve.
This role is responsible for the quality day-to-day implementation of MetService's international development activities and successful delivery of benefits and impacts to our partners.
MetService has been working in international development and supporting the growth of meteorological capabilities in the Pacific and further afield for years. With a growing portfolio of international development contracts, we are seeking an experienced individual to drive the day-to-day delivery of work objectives on time and within budget, through planning, monitoring, tracking, and stakeholder relationship management.
This role works closely with project support teams, product, technical and finance teams to strengthen MetService's meteorological capabilities of our Pacific and other international partners. The delivery of high quality and sustainable development activities is foundational to the success of our international development portfolio.
In this role you will also need to build relationships with Pacific NMHs, Pacific regional agencies, international development donors including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, other NZ science organisations, and international development organisations to develop and deliver our portfolio of work.
This role sits in our Customer and Commercial team reporting to the International Development Manager.
