Help to manage the social, economic, cultural, and human rights impacts and opportunities of our mine operations.
Manage a diverse array of internal and external stakeholder relationships impacted by our operations.
Responsibilities: Support the development and delivery of Waihi External Affairs & Social Performance (EA&SP) annual plans and risk assessments.
Develop, implement, monitor and review stakeholder engagement plans.
Ensure we maintain our agreements & commitments with external stakeholders to support the business and strengthen the community where we operate.
Oversight, and responsibility for, complaints, concerns, and grievance management processes at the Waihi Operation.
Prepare reporting documentation associated with EA&SP for the Waihi operation.
Support delivery of community donations and sponsorships in compliance with the OceanaGold donations and sponsorship standard.
Support the early and full identification of social impacts, and ensuring the development and implementation of appropriate management measures.
Support engagement with iwi, including the identification and management of cultural impacts.
Qualifications A degree or qualification in a relevant field or discipline i.e.
Social Sciences, Communications, Community Development, or Public Relations will be highly regarded.
Experience working in partnership with iwi is advantageous, but not essential.
A current New Zealand Driver Licence.
