The People Experience team is dedicated to help build a ministry where all our people can thrive.This is your chance to be part of a high-performing team and advance your career in employment relations.As a member of the Employment Relations team, you will:Tackle complex puzzles and engage in collective bargaining.Discover a wealth of learning opportunities.Collaborate closely with the People Operations team to provide proactive, timely, and high-quality advice on employment agreements and other ER matters.Support the development of policies, procedures, and management tools.Manage end-to-end solutions for complex issues.Work collaboratively with our union partners on issues of mutual interest He pukenga tou/Skills and ExperienceYou will be supported in this role by an experienced Employment Relations and Remuneration team.To be successful in this role you will have:an excellent knowledge and understanding of current employment relations and human resource practice and relevant employment legislation and case law in Aotearoa New Zealand.proven ability in providing advice and support on complex ER issues, including disciplinary action, change management, and performance management.experience leading and managing projects and delivering on deadlines.experience with conflict resolution, influencing, negotiating, including mediation, settlements, etc.experience of collective bargaining and implementing the outcomes.demonstrated commitment to and respect for Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public sector and the ability to incorporate this into your work.an understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, in particular, knowledge of tikanga Maori.strong written and comprehension abilities.a background in a large, complex, unionised organisation is advantageous.

Utu a-tau/SalaryThe salary range for this position runs from $97,208 to $135,539.
Appointment to the position will be based on skills and experience and is expected to be between $97,208 and $125,683.
