Pass it on.He angitutanga | About the roleAs a Senior Advisor, Conservation Planning Improvement Advisor reporting to our Programme Lead, your role will be to develop clear operating parameters for how DOC develops and reviews statutory planning documents, giving effect to Treaty of Waitangi principles.
This is a key strategic improvement priority for DOC.Collaboration is key in this role, so you'll work alongside cross-functional teams within DOC, Treaty partners, external stakeholders, and also the Ministers' office.
You'll collaborate with them to address systemic challenges in DOC's planning system and develop strategies to implement sustainable changes.The work will give you the opportunity to:Engage with Treaty partners to understand their aspirations for the form and function of statutory planning documentsUtilise your skills in analysis, options development, and implementationCollaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, including provision of advice and recommendations to senior leaders.Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience requiredWith proven experience navigating complex programmes of work, you'll be comfortable working under pressure and at pace, and thrive on championing innovative, fresh ideas to long-standing issues.Knowledge of environmental planning disciplines, legislation, or policy developmentA sound working knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
