Senior Advisor Community Outcomes

Details of the offer

Our Story Central Pacific Collective (CPC) is a community-led by Pasefika for Pasefika organisation with a vision of thriving, prosperous Pasefika people and communities. We operate by enabling, facilitating, supporting, and integrating the considerable efforts of various agencies and organisations dedicated to providing wellbeing solutions for Pasefika communities in the wider Wellington region. We are looking to build our capacity and capability as a Pasefika organisation.
Our goal is to improve wellbeing outcomes for Pasefika, reducing the significant inequality between us and the rest of Aotearoa's population.
A key project we are delivering is Our Whare Our Fale. We have secured government funding to build up to 300 affordable, multigenerational, Pasefika-designed homes in Porirua to improve wellbeing and transform lives. The project is the first of its kind and is the biggest Pasefika project in New Zealand.
You can learn more about the project at TVNZ: Our Whare Our Fale housing project brings island living to Porirua.
About the role We believe that the best way to create lasting change is by implementing evidence-based solutions to the unique challenges our Pasefika communities face. The community is struggling and needs lasting regenerative solutions. These need to be pragmatic and genuinely address wellbeing issues.
Everything at CPC moves at pace, and the ability to quickly assimilate and appreciate the context and the environment is essential. This role requires a high level of critical thought, rigorous analytical processes and methodologies, and the ability to communicate in a persuasive manner with well-articulated rationale, and the fortitude to stay the course. There will be a significant amount of autonomy in the role as there isn't the capacity for handholding.
About you Core skills will include the ability to gather, interpret, and apply evidence-based approaches to identify and develop targeted solutions. You will be expected to present those solutions in a persuasive manner and lead the implementation of whichever path is agreed.
This will naturally require someone who is smart, agile and versatile and who has both the character and enthusiasm to roll their sleeves up and make things happen.
The salary range for the role is $110,000 - $130,000.
Apply Now Central Pacific Collective is committed to providing a safe environment based on Pasefika values of respect and reciprocity, that fosters inclusiveness and collaboration, and values diversity. We believe that every person has a unique perspective and set of skills to offer and, by embracing this diversity within a Pasefika values frame, we can create a stronger and more vibrant workplace. We empower our people to work flexibly in ways that work for them. We are located on The Terrace in Wellington and in Porirua.
