Te Haeata / The OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior Advisor to join our newly established Commercial Management team within the Commercial Services unit.
This role will report to the Manager Commercial Management. The Senior Advisor is a subject matter expert that develops plans and strategies for the management of each spend category within the property portfolio.
The Senior Advisor supports the Commercial Services team to develop contract management and procurement capability as a core skill across the Ministry.
The role of Senior Advisor is Wellington based but may necessitate travel within New Zealand to project locations.

You will be a self-starter, with adaptable communication skills giving you the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders of all levels and navigate competing priorities and you'll also:
Have a procurement, commercial or legal background and / or qualification.Have experience in procurement and commercial processes and practices (ICT procurement or commercial management is ideal but not a requirement).Have experience in managing contracts, with an understanding of legal terms and conditions, risk management, and compliance requirements.Have a strong customer focus and willingness to look for solutions to problems or issues on behalf of stakeholders.Demonstrate a strong commitment to being a supportive and approachable team player, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.Be committed to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi.Mo matou / About usAt Te Tahu o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice, we're committed to strengthening people's trust in the law of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
