Description• Use your experience in financial analysis to improve housing outcomes in Aotearoa• Wellington or Auckland based opportunity with flexible workingAs Senior Advisor, Commercial, you will provide commercial advice and support to commercial activities in Places and legacy work. Your work will be assigned to you by your reporting manager through our matrix management model.Your duties will include:Working with identified partners to determine the best commercial delivery approach/vehicle.Defining/drafting the overarching commercial requirements to enable delivery of the identified housing/urban development solution for a place.Identify, assess, and mitigate the commercial, legislative and design risks and advise on how they could be managed.Awareness of internal and external factors that may impact on the viability and delivery of the housing solution.Working closely with place-based teams to build relationships with stakeholders and deliver fit for purpose housing solutions for the Place.Ensuring timelines are met for projects that you are leading or contributing to, including providing information to support accurate reporting on delivery pipelines.Contribute to, or lead, projects that improve workplace processes and ways of working.The salary range for this role is $102,699 - $125,521 + 3% Kiwisaver contribution.Mou | About youTo thrive in our busy, challenging and changing environment, you will be adaptable, flexible and resilient, and you will bring our values to life as we work together to deliver change for Government.You will be committed to strengthening the Maori-Crown relationship, and to growing your knowledge and use of te ao maori, te reo, tikanga maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and maori values and perspectives in your work, while supporting others to do the same. To be successful in this role, you will have:Understanding of implementation and project-based lead approach. This may be acquired through relevant experience or qualification.Strong commercial acumen related to property development including knowledge of the housing sector, key operatives and trends.The ability to interrogate financial models and use excel proficiently.Ability to interpret development plans, against design standards, and provide concise written and verbal feedback.Proven skills to manage projects at different stages of development.Working knowledge of the Resource Management Act and Building Act.Understand differing Lease documentation, legal vocabulary, and the Residential Tenancies Act.A proven track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships within a team, a wider organisation, and with external stakeholders.An appreciation of the iwi/ Maori property development sector and committed to a programme where iwi are development partners.Comfortable working with both private and public sector housing environment.Ideally, you will have experience in the public service or central government.Mo matou | About usTe Tuapapa Kura Kainga reflects the intention of 'the foundation for a treasured home'.
