The Senior Advisor, Equity Access role sits within our Equity and Engagement team, which are responsible for leading Pharmac's engagement strategy, and implementing our Equity Policy.
The Senior Advisor - Access Equity supports teams across Pharmac to develop processes in their work which enables the delivery of improving equitable health outcomes. This position will also work collaboratively with external stakeholders across the health sector to help influence positive sector change.
This position also involves:
Providing advice from an equity lens to support Pharmac's funding decision making processes.
Incorporating a clinical perspective to design and deliver pieces of work that support achieving medicines access equity.
Providing advice in the development of an operational framework to guide Pharmac's access equity work
Monitoring the performance of Pharmac's funding decisions through our Medicines Access Monitoring and Outcomes framework.

We are seeking candidates with clinical experience in a primary care role who are interesting in using their health sector experience and relationship management skills to help us make a difference to the lives of New Zealanders.
Perhaps you are a Nurse Practitioner, or Pharmacist, looking to utilise your experience in a non-clinical setting.
Our ideal candidate would bring:
Clinical experience in the New Zealand health system
A solid understanding of the impact of social determinants of health outcomes and health equity, especially within the New Zealand context
Experience working with communities experiencing inequities is advantageous
A keen interest and drive to pursue outcomes that deliver improved health outcomes for priority population groups set out in the Pae Ora legislation.
Strong written communication skills
Proven experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders

This role is Pharmac Band 7. The appointment range is anticipated to be between $102,616 - $118,819 total remuneration, inclusive of 3% KiwiSaver Employer contribution. The appointment salary is subject to the preferred candidate's relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
