Job Title: Senior Adviser (Inhibitors) Role type: Permanent, full-time Location: Wellington Salary band & range: General Salary Range D: $98,955 to $115,691 depending on skills and experience Korero mo te Turanga - About the Role As the Senior Adviser Inhibitors, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inhibitor product registration regulatory workstream.
This role is part of the ACVM assessments teams, and reports to the Team Manger Assessments (Veterinary Medicines).
Your key responsibilities will include: * Being the key liaison point for MPI and external stakeholders on GHG Inhibitor regulatory matters * Technical assessment of GHG inhibitor product registration applications * Oversight of the creation, review, and updating of MPI documents/publications relating to regulation of GHG inhibitors * Working with ACVM Programmes & Appraisals team on GHG Inhibitor aspects of ACVM guidance documents * Representing the ACVM team at interdepartmental and industry groups and public forums Mou - About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a background in either veterinary science, biomedical science, or biological/agricultural sciences.
Knowledge and understanding of ACVMs, particularly on greenhouse gas inhibitor products is desirable.
You will also have strong written and verbal communication skills and be proficient in the preparation of writing of technical documents and reports, and well-rounded analytical and problem-solving attributes.
Experience in planning and delivery in operational, regulatory or policy settings.
Importantly, you will contribute to establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders (incl.
government, industry, research & development, and non-government organisations), as well as with colleagues and other groups within MPI.
Mo to matou Ropu - About the Team The ACVM assessment team is collectively comprised of the Veterinary Medicines assessments and the Agricultural Chemicals & VTAs assessments teams.
These teams encompass the technical staff who have a passion for providing and maintaining availability of products that are safe and efficacious for use for use in either animals (companion and production), on crops, or for pest control.
The assessments staff are a high performing team, diverse in terms of age group, ethnicity and scientific background; all bringing their own skillset and experience to strengthen the collective team.
