About the Company:Our client is a leading provider of structural steel solutions in the South Island. They prioritize customer satisfaction, meticulous planning, and close collaboration with clients. With expertise in large structural steelwork, they consistently deliver high-quality services for a wide range of projects, from residential to tier-one developments across New Zealand, always focusing on safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.About the Role:The position of Senior Accounts Administrator involves a crucial responsibility in safeguarding the financial well-being of the organization. This role encompasses a diverse array of financial and administrative responsibilities, such as managing accounts payable, receivable and cashflow, reconciliations, and maintaining comprehensive financial records. This role would suit someone looking for around 25 - 30 hours and with experience in looking into historical transactions. This role would be a job share role for about 3 days per week.Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable and Receivable: Accurately process invoices, payments, and receipts while ensuring timely collections and vendor relationship management. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date financial records, prepare reports as needed, an investigate past transactions. Bank Reconciliation and Cash Flow: Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and report discrepancies promptly. Expense Management and Documentation: Review and verify expense reports, organize financial documents, and support audits. Audit Collaboration: Work closely with auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Compliance Assurance: Stay informed about financial regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Administrative Support: Offer general administrative assistance to the finance department. About You: Demonstrated experience in senior accounting or finance roles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Costcon, MYOB) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. Experience with looking into historical transactions. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
