Senior Accountant Or Aspiring Client Manager

Senior Accountant or Aspiring Client Manager Candy Gillespie Ltd is seeking to employ a senior accountant or aspiring client manager who shows initiative and values being part of a growing and established local business.
As a senior accountant, you will be part of our team, with responsibilities including:
Preparation and review of GST returns
Preparation of financial statements & income tax returns
Liaising with clients regarding business queries
Assisting in all accounting and business support services we offer our farming and commercial clients (e.g., budget, cashflow, management reporting)
The successful candidate will have:
Prior experience working in public practice – this is a must
Confidence to engage with clients on a variety of general accounting enquiries
Well organized, accurate and efficient
A team player who thrives in a group of hard-working professionals who also enjoy a social workplace
Sound computer skills - experience with Xero, APS or similar accounting software would be ideal
Candy Gillespie is a Matamata-based accounting firm catering to a range of clients in the agricultural and commercial sector. We have a friendly, family-oriented culture. The role will be based in our Matamata office.
