Add expected salary to your profile for insights.Excellent commercial entity has a rare opportunity to join their friendly and supportive team in growing their business and supporting them in their future strategy and company direction.As Senior Accountant, you will be playing a crucial role in the financial management of this organisation. You will be predominantly responsible for overseeing the financial activities and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and analyse financial statements.Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and oversee the budgeting process.Work with department heads to establish and monitor financial goals.Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis.Internal Controls:Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate financial risks.Compliance:Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and ensure their implementation.Cash Management:Manage cash flow to optimise working capital.Oversee banking relationships and transactions.Financial Strategy:Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team.Contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategy.Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement.Make recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.Tax Management:Oversee tax planning and compliance.Coordinate with external tax advisers to ensure accurate and timely filing.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA preferred.Proven experience in a chartered accounting environment or a commercial role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Xero.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Experience: Typically, new qualified to 3 years plus post-qualified or qualified by experience.If this role is of interest and you would like to take the next step in your career with great growth potential, then please send through your CV quoting JMA SS.James Mason - Associate DirectorFluid Recruitment
