We have an exciting Full Time opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team based in Onehunga.Who are we looking for?Working closely with HV Power's Directors and HOF, this role will take ownership of preparing key financial reports, completing company tax for NZ and Australia, payroll, and streamlining any processes to drive efficiency. This is a crucial role within the business and has a wide range of tasks to create diversity. The focus is accuracy in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMonthly Financial Statements reconciliations.Help prepare management accounts and reports for directors.Look after all tax matters for the NZ and Australian businesses.Manage the payroll process and ensure all accounts pertaining to Wages and Salaries are accurate.Assist Head of Finance with Cashflow Management.Control and maintain the company Fixed Asset register.Review and process journal entries as required.Prepare documentation for External Accountants.Develop, document and review accounting processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Assist in preparing and entering annual budgets.Administration matters for NZ and Australia offices.Overseeing of Accounts Payable and Staff expenses.Training and Development of employees, as and when necessary.What's your experience?CA/CPA/CIMA qualified plus a minimum of at least 3 years post qualifying experience in a similar role (or equivalent) with financial control and management reporting experience.Computer literate with very good excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting software principles.Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close out process.Able to demonstrate very good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making, and a hands-on approach.Able to demonstrate experience working with a small accounting team.Confident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.Prior experience with the ERP Greentree MYOB would be the ideal, but not essential.
